Condolux Golf Director Craig Chinn, was born in Newport News, Virginia and grew up in historic Danville, Virginia. Craig attended high school at perennial high school power house, GW-Danville, where he excelled as a letterman member of the Golf Team all four years. While in high school, Craig worked for the City of Danville and the Danville Braves as a grounds keeper , learning from Turf Specialist Russ Hudson and Richard Giesselman, Craig`s job required a wide range of knowledge of grasses, landscaping techniques and proper maintenance of the Appalachian Leagues “Field of The Year” in 1994 and 1995.

After high school he decided to take his golf game south to Central Florida. A business degree with an emphasis on Golf Complex Operations and Management. Craig won several local amateur events in Orlando including 128-man G.A. Match Play Event in 1997 and made it to the semifinals in 1998, posting a 11-1 match play record. Craig also passed his Playing Ability Test at Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club in Ocala, Florida in 1998 and enrolled in the PGA apprentice program shortly there after. Craig was hired as an assistant golf professional at Dubsdread Golf Course, the Oldest Golf Course in Orlando.

Craig left one resort area for another moving to Myrtle Beach in 1998 to work as an assistant at Tidewater Golf Club and Plantation which is voted as one of the “Top Golf Courses in Myrtle Beach”, year after year. Craig then moved on to become the Youngest Head Golf Professional on the Grand Strand in 2000 working for golf course manager Steve Phillips at Ocean Harbour Golf Links.

After owners of Ocean Harbour started sell off and close their golf course properties to the real estate boom in Myrtle Beach. Craig continued in the hospitality and tourism industry and became Golf Director for Condolux Luxury Rentals and North Myrtle Beach Golf.com in 2006.
