Myrtle Beach Golf: Barefoot Resort – Love Course
The Barefoot Resort -Love Course in North Myrtle Beach reopens today after the April Wildfires that destroyed over 70 homes, with damage to trees, plants and access bridges. The Davis Love III design which opened in 2000, was voted #1 in its “Top 50 Courses in Myrtle Beach”. Measuring 7047 yards and a Par 72 from the Championship tees, the Barefoot Resort – Love Course is similar to the Donald Ross famed Pinehurst #2 with forgiving fairways, large crowned greens set through a classic, low country setting make the course one of the best Myrtle Beach Golf Courses you can play.

The Love Course (Golf Digest #1 Course in Myrtle Beach) at Barefoot Resort & Golf reopened for public play on June 1st as scheduled while the Fazio Course is scheduled to resume play on Wednesday, July 1.
Both courses suffered cosmetic damage to the trees, plants and access
bridges during the wildfire on April 22 and 23, but neither course received
any damage to the fairways or greens.
The Fazio Course has not reopened after the Golf Digest “Top 100″ course
lost two bridges that connect the 12th, 13th and 14th holes during the fire.
The Dye Club and the Norman Courses were not affected by the wildfires and remained open for play.
We are very pleased with the condition of both the Love and Fazio courses.
The access bridge on the Love Course has been restored and the Fazio bridges are in the process of being repaired. Both courses underwent aeration in early May so they are both in pristine condition and ready for golf.
